Anointing For Children: Book Review

This is an excellent resource for all mothers who desire to pray their children through the struggles of life.

Though small and compact, this book is full of wise nuggets of wisdom and inspirational stories of moms who were faced with circumstances to pray the release of God’s power in their children’s lives.

“Anointing for Children” covers stories such as:

• a rebellious son praying as his mother is stabbed in the heart
• how a boy descends into drugs and gangs
• when a son falls under the control of a cult
• or a 2 pound, premature baby fighting for his life…

…and more.

This little book by Melanie Hemry and Gina Lynnes comes along with a small tube of aromatic anointing oil made from pomegranate (which represents the fruitfulness, abundance, and favor that God gives to us and to our children).

On a personal note, I’ve used this oil in praying over my own children with the result of God’s spirit permeating their bedrooms and their hearts as the lingering smell of the strong anointing oil left behind nighttime thoughts of Mommy’s prayers for them.

I highly recommend this book as an encouraging factor in each mom’s life, and as inspiration for us to pray daily for our children, with fervor and with faith.

A Wife’s Prayer by Pamela Hines

This book is a must-read for any newlywed, woman planning to be married, or a wife of many years.

Pamela Hines, author, is the vessel God uses throughout this book to speak into the lives of women the wisdom of ancients. Prayer is the ultimate key to winning a husband’s heart, mind, and soul, and Pamela Hines portrays that in every chapter of this masterpiece.

Each chapter is divided into specific topics that cover a man’s world: from your husband’s affections, protection, deliverance, home, career, and everything in between.

In these chapters, you’ll find prayers that are powerful and sharp. Each prayer is so unique in that when you use these prayers as part of your toolbox in marriage, you immediately realize that you are actually “praying the Word”, something the author emphasizes is an important aspect of prayer. Prayer without the Word of God is not very powerful, but pray the Word and your prayers will be heard by God whose very words you are speaking.

Pamela Hines has masterfully created a book of prayers that any woman can pray for her husband and expect immediate results. This book of prayers can also be used in a variety of circumstances.

I would recommend for any woman wishing to seek a deeper level of prayertime for her husband.
